About the Role

As Chief Executive, you will lead Brunelcare across its care, housing and support services, building on an organisation with a strong sense of purpose and commitment to the people and communities it serves. The breadth of Brunelcare brings together different operating and regulatory environments, and a central part of the role will be ensuring these work effectively as part of one organisation while recognising their distinct needs.

Working closely with the Board, you will shape a clear and sustainable long-term strategy for Brunelcare, considering its future direction, opportunities for growth and partnership, and how ambition is balanced with financial and operational resilience. You will translate that direction into clear priorities and outcomes, maintaining strong oversight of performance, risk, governance and regulatory assurance.

The role requires a strong balance of internal and external leadership. You will work closely with the Executive team and Board, while maintaining a visible connection with colleagues and services across Brunelcare. Externally, you will be an influential advocate for the organisation, developing relationships across housing, care, commissioners, regulators and strategic partners.

Ultimately, this is an opportunity to lead Brunelcare into its next chapter, building on what is already strong while creating new opportunities for the organisation, its residents and the communities it serves.

About You

This role will suit a Chief Executive or experienced senior executive leader who can combine strategic thinking with a strong understanding of operational delivery. You will bring the credibility and judgement to lead Brunelcare, setting clear direction while remaining connected to its people and services.

You will be joining Brunelcare at an exciting point in its journey, building on a proud history while looking ahead to how its services can continue to evolve. Your experience will include leading change and transformation, with the ability to embrace new approaches, technology and ways of working that support the organisation’s future ambitions. Experience within housing, care, health, community services or another regulated environment will be valuable, alongside sound commercial judgement and an understanding of governance, risk and assurance.

Your leadership style will be visible and collaborative, with the ability to build trusted relationships with the Board and Executive team and maintain strong connections across the wider organisation. You will provide the focus and momentum needed to take the organisation forward.

A genuine connection to Brunelcare’s charitable purpose will be essential. You will understand the importance of listening to residents, customers, colleagues and people using services, while balancing this with the commercial, operational and regulatory judgement needed to lead a sustainable organisation.
